Understanding the Vital Life Force Energy

Chi energy animates all living things. Despite the fact that is invisible for most of us, we feel it every day.
Can wait to do something…your Chi is probably strong.
Can’t get out of bed…your Chi is probably weak.
Angry, frustrated or depressed…your chi is probably stuck.
Weaken or blocked flow of this vital essence is considered the beginning of all deceases. Conversely, when you consciously contemplate and build your chi, you build your health and your personal power.
Such mastery brings valuable coping skills to one’s life. It could be achieve through practice of Yoga and several other martial art disciplines including Qigong, Tai Chi, Aikido and Shaolin Kung Fu.
Yoga comes from India.
There are many disciplines of Yoga that provide achievement in different areas. Some involves stretching in variety of postures. The postures help integrate the body and consciousness, the material and immaterial aspects of the human being, moving from a state of organic darkness to cosmic enlightenment. Hence the meaning of Yoga which means union. An emphases is placed on the postures that lengthen and twist the spine to keep it flexible and healthy. Each pose promotes the flow of energy through the nervous system and can assist in elimination of toxins. But beyond stretching and strengthening Yoga clears the pathways within the physical body.
The natural Chi energy can then flow straight through like laser beam of light. To illuminate the way and to provide mental and emotional fitness. Most people experience deep sense of wellbeing after only few Yoga classes and regular practice cultivates abundance of Chi energy for health, mastery and natural living. In time Yoga provides insight and sharpens the senses of the spirit. It starts with realization that all sentient beings have the right to coexist without suffering, eating meat and fish becomes distant and loses purpose. Practicing more Yoga disciplines and reaching mastery in them, provides the path to ultimate freedom of suffering and self-realization.
One of the best ways to develop chi energy is by practicing a Martial Art. There are plenty to choose from and most of them originated in China and Japan. Interestingly Chinese martial arts came from the same roots as Chinese Medicine. Martial artists were train in medicine, while doctors were trained in Martial Arts. Shaolin Monks were both doctors and martial artists and were practitioners of Energy Medicine. Chinese martial arts are classified as being either external or internal. External uses muscular force, speed and strength to produce power. Internal arts use chi energy combined with muscle strength to produce power.
Qigong, Tai Chi, Aikido and Kung Fu are internal arts. Along with fighting techniques, the internal training often includes standing meditation, breathing techniques and other exercises to develop chi energy.

Qigong is often considered the root or grandfather of many forms of martial arts, but also of Chinese healing systems. This ancient practice of healing, health maintenance and self-development dates back thousands of years. The current Qigong teachers often come from the long lineage of particular style. The practice involves, posture, movement, self-massage, breathing techniques and mediation. There practices are designed to cultivate, increase and refine Chi energy.
Impure of very slow energy is eliminated with the flow of healthy, pure chi is enhanced. The ultimate goal is to fully develop your body and soul. With training and experience you can use Qigong for self-healing and when is used to heal others the practice is known as medical Qigong.
Thai Chi emphasizes continuous movement and breathing system that exercises all the major muscle group while circulating internal Chi energy. There is no wasted effort because the whole body moves in unison. Each part of the body is balanced by another part while gently transforms into the next movement. When we consciously direct our movements we can consciously direct our energy and it is this circulation of Chi energy that promotes health. In fact, regular practice of Thai Chi increases strength, stamina and flexibility, reduces blood pressure, improves immune function and reduces stress hormone levels. It cultivates the link between the body and the consciousness, while enhancing balance and coordination. So if you are looking for therapeutic chi building workout Thai Chi might be the perfect choice.
The study of Aikido, involves character building and self-defense techniques. With the emphasis of wining over the discord within oneself. Aikido focuses on controlling the chi energy centered in the abdominal region in order to subdue an opponent. It works by neutralizing an attack by meeting energy flows rather than blocking them. This art emphasizes nerve points, when pressed can bring down many times stronger opponent without serious injury or death. The focus is on free oneself from grips, thronging opponent to the ground by using mastered maneuvers and then immobilizing the opponent by placing pressure on the joints. During practice students matched their movements to those of others, thereby avoiding collisions and conflicts. They discover their own strengths and weaknesses, build their chi energy and master themselves as they master the art.
Shaolin Kung Fu is a smooth and fluid art form. As each movement melts into graceful action, properly coordinated Chi energy creates the fluidity associated with Shaolin Kung Fu. This style of martial arts requires a streaked code of physical and mental discipline. Without strong and flexible muscles, proper body mechanics and the management of chi energy, many movements of Kung Fu are impossible to preform correctly. Therefore the basics are the vital part of the training, since the student cant progress to the advanced stages without them. Basic training can include stretching, standing work, basic conditioning, meditation, kicking and punching techniques. However the practice is worth the goal. Because the Shaolin Kung Fu is the ultimate art for Chi energy building and self-mastery.
In the eastern part of the world, especially in China and Japan, literally millions of people practice Qigong in China each day. They are exercising in the early morning and late afternoon, when the sun rises and sets, which is in sync with the Yin and Yang daily cycle of life.
However, despite the fact that the number of Chi energy practitioners is rapidly increasing from year to year, in the western part of the world people have forgotten the ancient ways of chi energy accumulation.
For those that are not familiar, the Shaolin Qi Gong is exceptional and unique art, with origin dating back at the end of 5th century that enables the one who masters this art to accumulate powerful Chi or Qi energies inside and around the body in order to achieve super-human achievements. In fact those are not super-human manifestations, they are referred as such nowadays but thousands of years ago they were completely normal.
According to the ancient Shaolin tradition there are two chi energy flows or bio-electrical charges inside every human being called Yin & Yang Energy flow.
Both, Yin and Yang energy run and circulate inside and outside the physical body, but in a different way.
They are both electrical in nature and act like plus and minus in electrical circuit. If there is no potential difference, two opposite charges inside the electrical circuit, the electrical current cannot exist and flow.
According to the Qi Gong teachings, earth has the negative charge, the sky positive charge and in the middle is the human being as neutral charge. The magic appears when as result of the powerful mental effort of the human consciousness, the two opposite charges are pulled and attracted to touch each other in certain spot of the human body. The effect is a manifestation of a powerful bio-electrical Force (Chi) that can be utilized.
In the whole process, the high percentage of water in the human biological body serves as a conductor for the Chi energy.
The chi flow goes and spreads everywhere from the brain and head to the spinal cord, chest, around and inside all of the organs, inside the arms and legs and on the skin…and makes all that functional, vital and healthy. That is why healthy nervous system is a must to achieve the topmost control of the chi force.
Ancient Yoga teachers also had a great point about this powerful inner energy: “If you can feel it, you can control it”…
